Heading out – past the motif

Morning light is something I look forward to as a photographer. The great shadows and reflections are inspiring. Yesterday was beautiful. The reflections in the still water got the creative juices flowing. When I am in photo slump all it takes is getting up early and watching as the light changes and gets me going. This photo was just such an experience. I have not been out shooting much so I got up and out the door for morning light. As I walked around the harbor and observed the lobstermen getting ready for the day the combination of the reflections and the lobstermen going out for their day of work combined themselves for an interesting opportunity. The lobstermen had to pass by this wonderful reflection of Motif #1.
