Ancient Rudder and Flower

This image is a favorite of mine. It was made with my dad’s Leica 21mm Super Angulon which was made in the early 60’s. The texture in the ancient wood and metal of the rudder really drew me in. In color it’s a challenge to remove the magenta cast at the top and bottom but in B&W it just looks great. The color of the flower is what initially pulled me in – it’s bright yellow. I’ll have to take another stab at removing the magenta cast.
