Working Skiffs at Low tide

I have always loved these work boats that lobstermen keep at the dock. They are really beat up and have had minor or major work done to keep them afloat. These skiffs remain in the water year round and are rarely painted. The easy fix to keep them afloat is to fiberglass the bottom and up around the sides which has been done to one. Notice that the one on the right has no oarlocks just a big cleat on the port side. Both only have one oar because lobstermen paddle out to their boats standing up not sitting down. This image had very muted colors so B&W conversion was pre-visualized from the start.
