Spring Jonquils

The rain overnight added some very nice water droplets to jonquils coming up around Rockport this morning. I was out and about with my Leica MP 240 and the 50mm Summilux. I’m usually not a flower person but the water droplets were really interesting. Shooting flowers is all about the background and the angle which is never straight down. I experimented with compositions, backgrounds, and f-stops. The winner was shot at f 1.4 and I loved the nice soft feel of it against the solid black background. The runner up was shot at f 2 but I did not like the background as much.
